Statement
Where am I? Transience, instability, surveillance, control—a constant presence; abandonment, convention, censorship, self-censorship, anxiety—fear. A clearly defined world with no escape, with clearly established rules that must be followed. Bumping against barriers and boundaries leads to ostracism, selection, and relegation to the status of
a second-class citizen. The creation of segregated spheres—devoid of corners or hidden nooks, filled with light but no darkness. I am a fatalist; I seek no solutions, merely highlighting a minimized, abstracted present where, with
a cynical smile, I fail to comprehend this warped arrangement. I am reaching a stage where I admit that, as an individual, I can no longer change anything in the world; the system has already smoothed away my sharp edges. Currently, I am focusing on human connectivity—or the lack thereof—as people withdraw into themselves, forming clans and small, safe structures that interact less and less with one another. I observe the strengthening of a bipolar world, and it is difficult to exist somewhere in the middle—in the space between. People on one side cannot find
a way to cooperate with the other. There is a loss of trust, a disintegration of the collective unity aimed at
a potentially better tomorrow. Amidst this malaise, I look for small gestures—likely nothing more than the last remnants of human closeness.
